DynamoMin – “Last One Picked”
Chances are, there are many of you out there that can relate to this avant-garde & artistic lil’ ditty DynamoMin have created with this single – from high-school kickball games to corporate promotions, being the “Last One Picked” is never where ya wanna find yourself in the pecking order, but it happens to nearly all of us at some point in time, doesn’t it? It’s actually been over five years since we last featured this Arizona-based Prog/Fusion band…all the way back to the days of when we still had Ryan rockin’ the SBS Podcast with us still; but while it may have been a while here at our homepage, the band has kept plenty busy on their side. From what I can tell, it looks like they’re rockin’ at a pace of about one full record or EP per year so far…they’d need one in 2020 to keep the average intact, but perhaps this sample from their 2019 record The Struggle in “Last One Picked” is an indication that the music-machine is ready to rev up again soon enough with a set of brand-new tunes. In any event, we’re stoked to welcome them back to our pages after all this time – there’s an inherent wildness, courage for creativity, and highly admirable pursuit of artistic uniqueness in the music this band creates, which you’ll find on full display throughout the intensity & melody of “Last One Picked.” It’s almost like an innovatively twisted Tango tune with the staccato-style melody-line that resides at the core of this cut – DynamoMin stands out for the stellar amount of imagination and creativity they put into their music, and they prove with “Last One Picked” that these attributes remain a huge priority to them in the songs they’re rockin’ – check it out for yourself and have a listen to DynamoMin below!
