Another artist that had an incredibly inspired year with his creativity and music, which landed him on our pages multiple times throughout the course of 2023.  Stuart Pearson could have easily been added to our list for his efforts on the album Mojave, an absolutely brilliant record that we had the privilege of reviewing back in mid-March.  We had an awesome time listening to his single “The Devil Whammy,” which was put out for your enjoyment in two different languages in time for Halloween this year.  Then he released the proverbial mother-load with American Gothic, an album that revealed how boldly his twisted-folk/rock tunes have continued to grow.  Paired with the inimitable Hunter Lowry alongside him, Stuart’s visionary album American Gothic was a sensory delight & undeniable proof that his songwriting flourished with artistic flair, cunning ideas, and a true willingness to go where others would never dare.  There’s no list that could have been complete without his music this year, straight-up – Pearson has fast become a generational talent that earns his accolades through resounding commitment second to none.
