No stranger to our top ten list, Rasmus Fynbo has a true knack for making genuinely artistic music with a message, and he always executes his with pure professionalism & admirable consistency.  When it came to making his new record, A Speck Of Light, he decided to take a much different approach, and as a result, the lineup of songs featured a tighter core group of musicians & Rasmus didn’t sing lead vocals for the album.  While there is clear proof on these pages of ours that we are big fans of his voice when he does choose to sing, the decision he made to selflessly surrender the spotlight for his new record brought out an entirely new dimension of his songs and allowed him to focus even more on all the rest.  Greatly assisted by Per Solgaard on the bass, Alex Duarte on the guitars, and the stunning voice of Camila Castellani on the mic, in addition to a wealth of talent gathered from around the world to make the music on A Speck Of Light, Fynbo’s music flourished to a brilliant new shine.  Thoughtful & carefully considered, filled with colorful sound and sparkling personality threaded into each new song, and a big win for art in music this year – join us in congratulating Rasmus Fynbo for making our top ten once again at spot #06 in our quest for the Best New Sound of 2024!
