We know greatness when we hear it.  Don’t get it twisted now…just because it’s one of the most recent records we’ve reviewed on our pages doesn’t mean we haven’t been listening for quite a while already – this album is gonna hold up beautifully for years & years to come.  From the incredibly sincere, heartfelt tribute to her father on the emotionally powerful “Tidal Waves,” to the insightful reverse love-song she created on “I Hate You The Least,” to the sweetness & catchiness of songs like “Gimme Gimme” and “Be Your Babe,” to the inherent melodic beauty of the album’s opener “Vagabond” & its perfect ending with “Washington State” – every moment on this album was stunningly memorable in every conceivable way.  A record that is audibly staggering for its flawless execution, artistic ambition, and gorgeous melodies – Brooke’s amazing voice was loaded with conviction and passion for a whole lineup of material that truly deserved it.  Absolutely one of the best of the best of 2022, we knew it from the moment we heard it – all those spins through Moon Waves afterwards simply added confirmation and more love for Brooke’s music.  She’s got something genuinely special goin’ on – join us in celebrating her amazing album & all that she’s accomplished this year.
