Best New Sound 2019 Nomination – Day 6: Headtrip Acoustic Project

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

The SBS contest for 2019’s BEST NEW SOUND gets underway officially on Dec. 18th this year!  Nominations are rolling out in no particular order between Dec. 6th – Dec. 15th, then we give all the artists/bands a couple days to rally the troops to come out and VOTE for their favorites from Dec. 18th, all the way up to midnight on Dec. 31st.  We’ll have all the details posted up for you on how to vote, where and when, once the nominations have all been announced online.

Until then, join us in congratulating our Day 6 nominee – none other than Headtrip Acoustic Project, a band whose unique, intricate, and highly intriguing instrumental musicianship led to an extraordinary adventure in sound on their EP called The Rising.  Though the record technically came out the year before, it was new to us when it crossed our desk and made its way onto our playlists in 2019 – so hellz yeah, you bet it qualifies for this year’s quest for Best New Sound!  Full proof that it’s always a good time to promote your material, Headtrip Acoustic Project sent over a killer lineup of stunning songs and made sure we didn’t miss out on the hauntingly melodic atmospheres on The Rising EP, thrilling our ears with high quality ideas and impressive instrumentation that deserves recognition for its uniqueness & true accolades for their execution – totally worthy of a nomination to our top 10.
