Best New Sound 2016 Nomination: The Hsu-Nami

Through the incredibly unique and moving instrumentals found on The Hsu-Nami’s self-titled record released this year and the highly creative & inventive approach to music this band based out of New York took to their music, they created one of the most audibly adventurous records of the entirety of 2016 with stunningly ambitious material that really brought out the best from every player involved.  Amazing musicians and ones that really strive to create something truly different for us all to listen to – the five-pieces of The Hsu-nami incorporate highly skilled talent with absolutely wild ideas in music that take you on a serious trip & all-out mystical journey in sound.  Very proud to take a moment to recognize this band that takes traditional sounds to a progressive new atmosphere and vibrantly elevated space in music.

The Hsu-nami is one of ten official nominations to this year’s SBS Reader Vote for Best New Sound 2016 beginning Dec. 14th – congrats to this incredible band!
