0055 – Closer (Live @ The Exotica Showlounge 2013)

Here’s a look at some of our favourite memories from our history…the SBS Photo Journal!  Gathered from our show SBS Live This Week, live events around local Vancouver, BC & beyond, and from all our random experiences here at the place we love more than anything, sleepingbagstudios. Even though I didn’t technically attend this show myself…we were there.  And technically…this show wasn’t billed as a Closer show – it just happened to be the first time that the band appeared on stage together, and I sent my wife into the black-heart of Surrey, BC to film this show.  So of course it ends up being completely amazing…The Pit played and ripped through a rad set while Trevor Hutton did his best to not let on he was sick as a dog last night.  Once the fearsome two had ripped through a set of songs from their EP Real Boy Times – they invited their new bandmates in a project that had yet to become fully official until this night; Jake Cummins and Ryan Rutherford stepped on stage…and Closer was born.  Check out some still shots from this rad live show…thankfully we’ve got the video proof of how awesome it was and I got to see it after all…would have been choked to find out we missed this madness & mayhem and I’m sure glad we didn’t – check out the photos!
