This Is Just My Life Now, The Podcast – Episode 001

It’s official!

After a long hiatus over the summer from podcasting, we are officially back – and with a brand-new show!

This Is Just My Life Now, The Podcast, will feature Beck and Jer @ SBS talking about pretty much everything under the sun, and playing some great tunes for you as well.

For example, episode one will give you an all-encompassing introduction to the amazing Beck, who has always been a part of everything to do with sleepingbagstudios, but rarely makes an appearance in the center of the spotlight.  Cue the awkwardness AND the awesomeness!  We’ll be talking about the transition she had to make as her marriage expanded to include a recording studio in her garage, some memories from the past as sleepingbagstudios got going, music from the mainstream & independent scene, theories on creators and consumers, what she’s listening to in her car right now, whether or not Jer’s mixtapes are as amazing as he seems to think they are, Mario Kart, and more.  We’ll shout out names like The Kiffness…shows like The Hot Tub…Color Me Badd…and some guy named Bodan?  We’ll figure out the last movie we watched (eventually), how long Harry Potter has been around for, and we’ll have a ton of laughs along the way.  As promised, we’ll also be playing some music for you as well!  We’ll be featuring a brand-new single from Polyphonic Exophilia that is NOT featured on their latest album Love! Liberty! Resistance! (available online now!) – and we’ll be spinning additional songs we dig from Pinkcova, Katie Underwood, and Chasing Jonah.  Come see what we have to say to ya and check out the show for yourself below!
