Every step in the right direction counts for so much in the long run.  While it’s true that we’ve always enjoyed the music of J Holmes and his band FVRMN since we first started listening, it’s equally true that the focus on what makes a record sincerely great to listen to from start to finish has only gotten sharper as they’ve continued on.  Last year, FVRMN rightly appeared in our top ten of 2024 in the eighth spot – and this year, with their album SUICIDES having the band sounding fully in charge of their destiny & as confident as ever, they’ve moved up to the fifth place only a year later.  Their efforts never go unnoticed here at sleepingbagstudios, and it’s been nothing less than inspiring to have witnessed their growth from afar throughout the years.  Their work ethic, and their passion, is practically unparalleled – and the songs of SUICIDES continued to confirm that their songwriting is still getting better & better all the time.  There’s really nothing quite like hearing the sound of a band that is as locked in as FVRMN has been since last year…they’ve got a vision for the whole aura & vibe they want to create, and the execute like genuine professionals.  Armed with the insanely high degrees of authenticity and identity in their music, FVRMN simply never disappoints, and somehow keeps finding impressive ways to exceed all possible expectations.  Join us in congratulating FVRMN on another well-deserved appearance in our top ten!
