For sure!  I’ve always got time for a positive message like Pascal Kerong’A is putting out there through this new single of his, and hopefully you do too.

Honestly, this is great!  I’ll fully admit that when I gave “Never Gonna Give Up” its very first spin, I felt like I was listening to an almost perplexing combination of sound…but that never deters me – in fact, it pretty much always has the opposite effect…I end up being completely interested in hearing where it all leads, you know what I mean?  Pascal’s “Never Gonna Give Up” – and neither am I when it comes to listening to the songs we share in this wonderful independent music scene we collectively call home.

So that’s exactly what happened.   I didn’t give up – I continued to listen – and boy am I glad that I did.  You see, that’s kind of a part of the magic of music that we don’t always acknowledge…some of our very favorite artists & bands can often come out with something new that our ears aren’t quite sure how to process on that first spin or two.  Some songs need to have some runway to land the way they should.  Before you know it though, many of those songs that confused or confounded us for a moment or two, end up becoming the same songs we’re relentlessly addicted to in the very near future.  As I listened to Pascal’s “Never Gonna Give Up” and my brain began to catch up to what he was doing, I was quickly beginning to realize I wasn’t just hearing a good song, but a great one – and by the time my first spin was finished, I already knew I was going to want to hear this again and again and again.  So again, that’s exactly what happened!  I haven’t had this song very long, but I’ve basically never stopped listening to it from the moment I got it, and I’ve got no plans to stop listening anytime soon.  There’s such a brilliantly inspired energy at the heart of Kerong’A’s single…the kind you need to fuel your soul…the kind that will help you conquer your own battles ahead…the kind that gets you EXCITED to tackle each and every day.

After you have that initial spin or two, and you fully absorb the highly colorful sound & stunning power within a song like this, believe me, you really start to understand just how amazing it truly is.  I’m now at the point where I’m convinced that Pascal has actually got one of the best singles I’ve heard in 2025 if I’m being truthful with ya.  There’s so much about it that makes me feel that way.  The inspiring lyricism – that’s definitely part of it.  Kerong’A’s remarkable voice – that’s part of it too.  That all-out incredible chorus & hooks he’s written into “Never Gonna Give Up?”  DEFINITELY part of why I feel as attached to this song as I do…the chorus of this song is a perfect example of how to go about taking an entire track to the next level it deserves, and the undeniably universal appeal it has at its most endearing moments is nothing short of single-worthy sound.  Then, even after ALL that great stuff, you’re still in for one of the coolest saxophone solos you’re going to hear as the song heads towards the 2:10 mark and begins to make its way to the finale through a combination of highlight instrumentation and hooks designed to be turned right UP as far as your stereo system will take ya!  For real folks – LISTEN to the way the saxophone springs to life around the 2:30 mark…you get that subtle introduction around the 2:10 mark yes, but only twenty seconds later down the road, you’re right in the thick of an AMAZING solo you won’t soon forget.  No joke folks – after several spins into this track and a healthy attempt to find out if this song would show some wear & tear on repeat…I’m proud to report that my affinity for this track and for Pascal only seemed to get stronger and stronger the more that I played “Never Gonna Give Up.”

Songs like these are important.  Sure, you’re hearing Pascal’s story of his own struggles and how he’s managed to overcome them through determination & true grit – but you’ll soon realize that what he’s singing about could just as easily apply to YOU, and in those times where you hit an obstacle of your own, it’ll be songs just like this that you’ll reach for to help you through the toughest of times.  Now, admittedly, I don’t know much about Kerong’A as this is my first time experiencing his music and all, but I do know that most musicians do what they do with the hope of inspiring others through their message & the art they create…and if that’s indeed the case, Pascal is going to be extremely pleased that he made the decision to never give up, because he’ll go on to inspire many other people all around the globe to do the same.  The positivity that radiates from every moment of this song is remarkable, and whether it’s the message he’s beaming out, or simply the insatiable catchiness of the main hooks, or the glorious personality & character displayed from the music to the microphone…one way or the other, trust me when I tell ya, Pascal Kerong’A is going to move your mind, body, and soul through this single.
