Mimi Novic Interviews Jer @ SBS!

Words cannot express my gratitude to Mimi Novic for being such an incredible host, asking such amazing questions, and making a dude feel so remarkably welcome that I ended up talking with her for an extraordinary two & a half hours!  And that, dear readers, dear listeners, dear friends…was just the recorded portion – believe it or not, there was even more fun to be had in behind the scenes, long before any buttons had even been pushed to start the whole thing up!

This was a tremendous pleasure on all-fronts, and I’m stoked on how it all came out.  Mimi is such a wonderful person & well-respected author/motivational speaker, that it was purely awesome to connect our minds together and chat about everything.  From music to life & love, to who the guy is in behind all these reviews I write, and I suppose a lot of what’s made me into the person I am today & the proudly tireless advocate for the independent scene many of you have come to know over the years – we covered a lot & then some more!  And you know what folks?  I’d do it all again in a heartbeat – Mimi is THAT awesome!  Even a curmudgeon like me that’ll hardly pick up a phone anymore or ever leave the studio here, could spend days talking with her, happily & willingly.  I highly recommend checking out our conversation…I’ll tell ya about my start into music-journalism, my undying love for Aphex Twin, how I met my wife back in 2004, the days from way back in high-school that would shape my future, how I eventually lost everything I owned…and even a little tidbit here & there about this good ol’ place right here, sleepingbagstudios.  You’re all formally invited to get to know me in a completely different way with this interview for Mimi’s Secrets For An Inspirational Life podcast – and I’d absolutely love it if you did.
