Gone Fishin’!

It’s that magical time of year again y’all…time for me to head out yonder somewhere towards a vacation.  One of these days, someone out there will realize I’ve only fished about once in my life and it’s all just smoke & mirrors.  Slimy water creatures?  Hard pass!  How about crispy chicken & fries & whatever else it is they sell at theme parks with rollercoasters & such – that’s way more my speed!

So heck yeah…off I go.  I’m heading down south to congratulate my aunt on her recent wedding at a massive reception party, and in between theme parks, I’ll be hitting up concerts from Garbage, Annie DiRusso, Ajaye, Chance The Rapper, Superchunk, and Marc Rebillet.  We’ll also be seeing a pre-season basketball game between the LA Clippers & Phoenix Suns in their dedicated fan section (The Wall!) – and hopefully, I’ll be stopping by a place called Cocoa Legato to see one of our old SBS Live This Week guests (Aaron Lindstrom of Lindstrom And The Limit) and drop in on his new chocolate shop/night club hybrid he’s opened up.  Sprinkle in a little Six Flags and Disneyland to see their Halloween night displays and ride every damn ride I can squeeze my ever-widening frame into, and voila – that’s a vacation!

I’ll be back in the saddle where I belong at the beginning of November, right before we make yet another move for the studio as we depart Maple Ridge in favor of Richmond…which should, fingers crossed, get us that much closer to the downtown venues so that we can get home by a reasonable time at long last.  Looking forward to the next chapter ahead, but first, those theme park churros and giant roasted turkey legs are callin’ me.  In the meantime, I’ll trust that you all know what to do from here…just because I’m not around doesn’t mean the music stops…check out some old articles or shows, or find some new stuff that you can tell ME about when I return!  Rest assured, I’ve got the meanest mix of music fully loaded and ready to roll for the drive down south…past experience tells me it’s about 1000 songs to get there and back.
